Materials for Coasters
  • 2 pieces Silicone coaster molds To shape your coasters.
  • 1 set Casting resin The core material that hardens to create your coasters.
  • as desired various Pigments For adding color to your resin.
  • as desired various Decorative glass or crystal chips To mimic natural geode formations.
  • as desired various Metallic flakes For added shimmer and dimension.
  • 1 pair Gloves To protect your hands while working with resin.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Prepare your workspace by covering the area with a plastic drop cloth or silicone mat.
  2. Lay out all materials needed, such as silicone molds, pigments, and decorative elements, for ease of access.
  3. Ensure your workspace is well-ventilated.
Mixing and Pouring
  1. Follow the product directions to mix your resin in a well-ventilated area, wearing gloves.
  2. Pour a small layer of resin into the bottom of each mold.
Building the Design
  1. Use a stir stick to create an organic 'geode' shape with colored pigments.
  2. Sprinkle decorative glass or crystal chips into the resin mixture, adding metallic flakes for extra sparkle.
Curing
  1. Allow the resin to cure completely by following the manufacturer’s instructions, which may take several hours to overnight.
Finishing
  1. Once fully cured, carefully remove the coasters from the silicone molds to reveal the stunning designs.

Notes

Dust the coasters with a soft cloth for maintenance. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading.
