Ingredients

Materials
  • 1 piece Glass prism or acrylic disc Forms the base of your suncatcher.
  • As needed Crystal beads These will reflect light and create colorful patterns.
  • 1 length Thin wire or fishing line For hanging your suncatcher securely.
  • 1 piece Scissors To cut the wire to your desired length.
  • 1 piece Hot glue gun To attach your beads and other materials firmly.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by selecting your glass prism or acrylic disc. Ensure that it is clean and dry, as any dirt will impact light reflection.
  2. Using scissors or wire cutters, cut a piece of wire or fishing line to your preferred length, considering how high you want your suncatcher to hang.
  3. Before gluing, lay out your crystal beads on the base in a design you love. Experiment with different arrangements to find what looks best.
Assembly
  1. Once satisfied with your layout, use the hot glue gun to attach the crystal beads. Apply a small amount of glue to each bead and press it firmly to the base. Allow everything to dry completely before proceeding.
  2. After your beads are secured, feed the cut wire through a hole or along the edge of the prism. Ensure it is tight enough to hold the suncatcher without slipping.

Notes

Feel free to get creative with your suncatcher! Use different shapes for your base, such as a heart or crescent moon. Consider mixing various colors of beads to match the season or your decor. To clean, gently wipe with a soft cloth and mild glass cleaner.
