  • 1 bottle Adhesive (like Mod Podge) Serves to secure any additional decorative elements you might want to add.
  • 1 string or set of Hanging string or suction cups To display your suncatcher easily on windows.
  • Optional Optional embellishments (like beads or pressed flowers) Add extra beauty and personalization to your design.
Tools
  • 1 pair Scissors For cutting your acrylic sheets to the desired shapes if needed.
  • 1 piece Pencil To sketch designs on the acrylic sheets before painting.
  • 1 plate Palette or plate For mixing paint if you wish to create custom colors.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Begin by lightly sketching your design on the clear acrylic sheet with a pencil.
  2. Using your paintbrush, fill in the sketches with chosen acrylic paints. Allow each color to dry before applying another adjacent color.
  3. Once the paint has dried completely, apply a thin layer of adhesive over the entire design to seal and enhance the colors.
  4. After the adhesive has dried, attach the hanging string or suction cups to the top of your suncatcher.
  5. Find a sunny spot near a window to hang your new faux stained glass suncatcher.

Notes

Experiment with different colors and shapes to create unique designs. Allow proper drying time for each layer.
