Ingredients

Materials
  • 5 pieces Glass candle holders These will serve as the base for your project.
  • 1 can Frosted glass spray paint For creating the frosted appearance.
  • 1 roll Stencils or painter's tape To create designs or patterns on the holders.
  • 1 piece Fine grit sandpaper For prepping the surface and creating texture if desired.
  • 1 pair Gloves and a mask To protect yourself from fumes while spray painting.
Tools
  • 1 piece Spray paint applicator As needed for even application of the frosted paint.
  • 1 piece Scissors For cutting painter's tape or stencils to size.
  • 1 piece Measuring tape To ensure accurate placement of your designs.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by thoroughly cleaning the glass holders to remove fingerprints and dust.
  2. Once clean, use fine grit sandpaper to lightly scuff the surface of the glass.
Designing
  1. Using painter's tape or stencils, create your desired design on the glass.
  2. Make sure the tape adheres well to prevent paint from seeping underneath.
Painting
  1. In a well-ventilated area, apply a light coat of the frosted glass spray paint.
  2. Hold the can about 10–12 inches away from the surface and move in smooth, sweeping motions.
  3. Allow the first coat to dry completely before applying additional coats.
Finishing Touches
  1. Once the final coat is dry, gently peel away the stencils or tape to reveal your design.
  2. Insert your favorite candles into the holders to complete the look.

Notes

Test before full application, allow ample drying time, and feel free to experiment with colored frosted paints for unique designs.
