  • as needed Crystal-like decorations (broken glass, acrylic crystals, gemstones) For a visually appealing look.
  • 1 piece Candle wick Essential for the candle to burn properly.
  • optional ml Fragrance oil Add a scent to your candle if desired.
  • 1 Container for candle (glass or transparent plastic) Choose one that enhances the crystal effect.

Method

Preparation
  1. Prepare a protected workspace by laying down a covering to prevent spills.
  2. Clean any glass surfaces you will use for a clear finish on your candle.
Making the Candle
  1. Step 1: Set up your double boiler and place the candle wax into the top pot. Heat gently until completely melted.
  2. Step 2: Remove the melted wax from heat and mix in your chosen fragrance oil, stirring thoroughly.
  3. Step 3: While the wax cools, secure the wick to the bottom of your container with a small amount of melted wax or a wick holder.
  4. Step 4: Carefully pour the melted wax into the container, keeping the wick centered and leaving space at the top.
  5. Step 5: Before the wax sets, sprinkle in your crystal-like decorations on top.
  6. Step 6: Allow the candle to completely cool and harden, which may take a few hours.

Notes

Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before lighting for a steady burn. Experiment with different containers and decoration types for personalized results.
