  • Variety pieces Colorful crystals and beads Choose a variety of shapes and colors to enhance the rainbow effect.
  • 2 sheets Black and orange craft paper To create the witch hat shape.
  • 1 bottle Strong adhesive To hold all pieces together securely.
  • 1 length Thin fishing line For hanging your suncatcher.
  • 1 piece Scissors For cutting the craft paper and line.
Tools
  • 1 piece Ruler For measuring and ensuring your hat shape is proportional.
  • 1 piece Pencil For marking out your template on the craft paper.
  • 1 piece Craft knife Useful for cutting out intricate designs if needed.

Method

Creating the Hat Template
  1. Start by measuring and cutting out a witch hat shape from the black craft paper. Use your ruler to create a dome shape for the top and a wide brim.
Assembling the Base
  1. Once the hat is cut out, take the clear acrylic disc and apply a thin layer of adhesive. Carefully press the witch hat onto the disc, ensuring it is centered and secure. Allow the adhesive to set following the manufacturer’s instructions.
Adding the Crystals
  1. Position your colorful crystals and beads around the brim of the witch hat. Use the adhesive to attach them securely. Mix and match colors for a vibrant appearance.
Attaching the Fishing Line
  1. Once everything is dry, cut a length of fishing line and attach it to the top of the witch hat. Make a secure knot and ensure it’s long enough for hanging.
Displaying Your Suncatcher
  1. Hang your beautiful creation in a sunny spot to catch sunlight and create colorful reflections.

Notes

Consider different shapes or themes for customization. Avoid excessive adhesive and allow adequate drying time. Experiment with colors based on the season.
